We provide the lowest Council Tax of all the Outer
London Boroughs and in this difficult time of economic uncertainty
we have one again kept your Council Tax at the same level as last
year. We have not increased it by a penny.

Your Council Tax pays for hundreds of services that you use every
day, from having your bins emptied to educating your children. Each
year, we work out how much we need to run these services, as well
as our day-to-day running costs, for the next financial year. It is
this figure that helps to decide how much council tax you
pay.
The Inland Revenue's Listing Officers have valued your home on the
basis of open market values on April 1 1991. There are eight
valuation bands and your home will fall into one of them.
The council has set an amount for band D and you will pay a
percentage of this depending on which band your property is
in.
