We are committed to delivering
high quality services. To make sure we do, we implement standards
set by the Government's Charter Mark and Investors in
People.
Charter Mark
The Charter Mark is
the UK Government's national standard for excellence in customer
service.
Our Language Shop first achieved the Charter Mark in 1999 and has
sucessfully renewed it three times since then. It means we have
demonstrated that:
- We offer customers choice so that a wide range of your
needs are catered for
- We maximise the benefits of new technology
- We consult customers and our staff on where choices can be
made
- We give the local community a say in the design and delivery of
our local services.
It also enables us to support other organisations wishing to
apply for the Charter Mark.
Investors in People
The most vital element in any
language based operation is its people. Success is entirely
dependent upon their abilities and dedication. To make sure we get
it right our Language Shop implements Investors in People's
standards. They help us to improve our performance and realise our
objectives through the effective management and development of our
staff.
The Language Shop was first accredited with the Investors in People
award in March 2000. We have since had the award renewed twice - in
2003 and 2008.
We regularly review our performance standards and actively seek
