Newham Register Office

The Register Office provides services for many of life's requirements including registering births and deaths, and baby naming ceremonies.

You do not need to make an appointment for general enquiries or to register a birth, stillbirth, death or give a marriage notice, however we recommend that you arrive at 3pm at the latest to give a Notice and 3.45pm to register a birth or death. We cannot guarantee that we will see you if you arrive after 4pm.

Due to the increased demand for marriage notices we are only able to see Newham residents or couples marrying in Newham on a walk in basis and at present this is subject to staff availability. Customers from other boroughs who are marrying outside of Newham will be seen by appointment only.
