To apply to become a British
citizen you must contact the Home Office.

5200 or visit the
Home Office website.
Completing the application form
Once your receive the form and have completed it accurately
according to the guidance notes, sign it and send it back to the
Home Office with the all the orginal documents required to support
your application.

Nationality Group, its purpose is to make it easier for people to
submit applications for British citizenship.
Life in the UK test
Since 1 November 2005, new applicants for British Citizenship have
been required to go through a
Life in
the UK test. Applicants will have to demonstrate competence in
English language as well as knowledge of life in the UK before they
make their application to the Home Office.
