You can do a lot more with your television than you might think…

Got a problem in your street that you'd like to report? Want to book a green waste collection or tell us about a missed bin collection? Well now you can from the comfort of your sofa - free of charge - through your digital television or your Nintendo Wii.

Newham Council has signed up to 'Looking Local', a digital service that enables residents to access council services similar to those offered on www.newham.gov.uk through their television sets. It means you can report issues, request services and even read the latest local news at the click of a remote.

Looking for a job? You can also search for jobs across the country using the Job Centre Plus database and if you're planning a journey, the Transport Direct service will make sure you avoid any traffic jams or delays.

We want to offer you a quick and easy way to get in touch with us. So instead of waiting - either for your computer to load or to speak to us over the phone - why not switch on your television and find Newham Council on Looking Local…
