Half term message from the Mayor

The excitement of the London 2012 Games being held in Newham is a fantastic opportunity to be inspired and get active this half term. Newham Council has been working with local partners to ensure that we inspire and motivate young people and their families to get out and about around the borough to do more than ever before.

With more than 25 different free sessions in our fun-filled sports programme for children and young people taking place across the week, you have so much to choose from. Our activity programme includes: Olympic sport, water sports, BMX biking, gym sessions, family activities days, cricket, football, every day free swimming, cheerleading, karate and much more.

Alongside, this we have a wealth of activities delivered by our brilliant partners including Theatre Royal Stratford East, Discover and Climb London, that will keep you and your family busy this half term. I hope this page provides you with a great starting point to get up and out this half term.
