Timetable
Appeals will be heard in line with
the new Admissions Appeals Code that came into force on 1 February
2012.
Timetable: Year 7 Secondary Transfer
- You receive notification of a place (or a rejection) on 1 March
2013.
- The deadline to return the appeal application is 28 March
2013.
- If your appeal is received by the deadline your appeal will be
heard between 30 April 2013 - 19 June 2013 -
within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging an appeal.
- NISAS (Newham Independent School Appeals Service) will consider
all on-time appeals by 19 June 2013.

If you applied for a secondary school place after the closing
date of 31 October 2012 (or your application for a school place was
received after the closing date of
31 October 2012), we will do our best to have your appeal heard
within the above timescales; however, we cannot guarantee that your
appeal will be heard before your child is due to start secondary
school in September 2013.
Timetable - Reception class admissions
- You receive notification of a place (or a rejection) on 17
April 2013.
- The deadline to return the appeal application is 17 May
2013.
- If your appeal is received by the deadline your appeal will be
heard between 10 June 2013 - 26 July 2013 - within 40 school days
of the deadline for lodging an appeal.
- NISAS (Newham Independent School Appeals Service) will consider
all on-time appeals by 26 July 2013.

15 January 2013 (or your application for a school place was
received after the closing date of 15 January 2013), we will do our
best to have your appeal heard within the above timescales;
however, we cannot guarantee that your appeal will be heard before
your child is due to start primary school in September 2013.
In-year admissions
Primary and Secondary In-Year admissions are all admissions other
than Reception Class admissions and Year 7 Secondary Transfer
admissions.
Appeals resulting from In-Year admission applications will be heard
within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
