Children's Services in Newham conducted by a team of inspectors
from the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED), the Commission
for Social Care Inspection, the Healthcare Commission and the Audit
Commission in Spring 2006:
Review of services for children and young
people
The JAR was enhanced to enable coverage of the youth service.
Inspectors considered the youth service's self-assessment and met
officers and a cross-section of staff. They reviewed key service
documentation and carried out direct observation of a sample of
youth work sessions across the borough and as part of the JAR
neighbourhood study area. The following document has been published
