Swim for free in
Newham
If you are a Newham resident aged
60 and over and 16 and under, you can now swim for free!
Eligible residents can now swim for free during public
times at
all four of Newham's leisure centres.
To apply for your free swims, simply register for a Newham Leisure
Options card at any Newham leisure centre or
online at the Greenwich Leisure Limited
website. Proof of age and Newham residency required. You'll
need to take the card with you every time you go for a swim.
If you're a weak or non-swimmer then the "Swim Safely" rules apply.
Weak or non-swimmers must be accompanied in the water by a
competent swimming adult at a ratio no greater than 2 to 1.
And don't forget your locker money. Lockers are either 20p coin
retain or £1 coin return depending upon the Centre you visit.

Terms and conditions of free
swimming
- Free swimming is available at designated times. These
times are indicated as Public Swimming sessions on our full pool
programmes.
- Pre-registration for Memberships are required for all 16s and
under and are non transferable
- There is a £1 administration charge for all customers 16 years
and under applying for a free swim membership card This payment is
required to validate your free swim account and must be paid on
your first visit to your Leisure Centre.
- Proof of identity and/or age is required for children aged 8-16
years of age on their first visit.
- A replacement fee of up to £5 will be charged for lost or
damaged cards.
- Centre and pool swim safely rules apply.
- Access may be denied if any of the Terms and Conditions are not
adhered to.
