Yes, its free for everyone.
- Can I join if I don't live in Newham?

Yes you can, we are also part of a London Libraries Consortium
where you can use your Newham card in other London boroughs
including Brent, Barking and Dagenham, Ealing, Enfield, Hackney,
Havering, Redbridge, Richmond upon Thames, Tower Hamlets, Waltham
Forest and Wandsworth.
- What ID do I need to join?

We ask for one form of ID and it must show your name and current
address. Some accepted forms of ID include your full British
driver's licence, Council Tax bill or a current utilities bill
(dated within the last two months).
- Is it free to borrow all items?

There is no charge to borrow books, CDs, CD-ROMs, spoken word,
Learn English and Skills for Life materials. However, there is a
charge for the loan and renewal of DVDs. Please click on 'more

- Can I return borrowed items to other libraries?

Yes, you can return books, DVDs, CDs, videos and talking books
to any Newham library, and any partnership borough within the
libraries consortium listed above.
- How many items can I borrow?
-
Adults may borrow up to 10 books at any one time as well as four
audio-visual items. Young people up to 13 years old can borrow up
to eight books and two audio visual items.
