Homework Clubs

break

Newham Libraries run Homework Clubs in all 10 static libraries. The clubs are run by library staff and are free of charge.

Homework Clubs are run term time only, every week (including half term breaks) and provide study support to children and young people aged 7-14. The sessions are 2 hours long and incorporate study help by working on given homework, in addition activity and work sheets are supplied.

Specially recruited homework club helpers provide children and young people with homework help and advice, national curriculum resources, free Internet and other library resources.

Children and young people are given priority in the use of computers during the times of the club, with staff guidance on which websites to utilise. Children are also able to print their homework for free.
