Having your own allotment can be really rewarding. They provide an opportunity to meet other people, join an allotment society, grow your own fruit, vegetables and flowers.

New to My Newham...
If you are looking to renew your allotment plot tenancy and you pay the full amount (you are not eligible for a concession), you can now save time by doing it online through My Newham using your credit or debit card.


Newham's allotments are located in the following areas:

  • Folkestone Road, East Ham, E6 Map
  • Pennyroyal Avenue, Beckton, E6 Map
  • South Beckton, Beckton, E6 Map
  • Colchester Avenue, Little Ilford, E12 (conservation site)
  • St Mary's Road, Plaistow, E13 Map
  • Leyes Road, Custom House, E16 Map
  • Stansfeld Road, Connaught Road, Custom House, E16 Map


How to apply for a plot



The easiest way to apply for an allotment is using our online form.


Your details will then be added to the waiting list. Please note that there is currently a very long waiting list for an allotment.



How to renew your allotment plot tenancy


For 2011 renewals you can renew no earlier than 25 October 2011 and no later than 30 November 2011.

If you are eligible for a concession, please visit East Ham Local Service Centre, ensuring that you bring the required documentation with you. See your renewal pack for further details.

If you pay the full amount, you can now renew your tenancy online quickly and easily via My Newham. Find out more about My Newham here or sign in to My Newham and make your payment now.
