Lots of free activities for everyone to enjoy, including free courses from Newhan Champions' Summer School.

Welcome from the Mayor and Young Mayor of Newham

This year is set to be an amazing and special time in Newham's history. To celebrate the London 2012 Games there will be an exciting programme of events and activities and there is no better time for you to be inspired to try something new this summer.

More than 100,000 people come along to our summer events every year to enjoy free entertainment, live events, top musicians, local talent and so much more. Your summer really gets going with the Olympic Torch Relay visiting the Newham Show on 21 July featuring the borough's biggest and best carnival procession ever! The fun continues with day two of the Newham Show on 22 July and then our four-day music extravaganza Under the Stars over the August Bank Holiday from 23-27 August.

This year, you can visit Stratford Park and Central Park for Newham Live. From 27 July to 12 August and 29 August to 9 September, you can watch live action from the Olympic and Paralympic Games on giantic screens along with weekends of children's activities, performances from the best of Newham's talent and sport activities. This spectacular 2012 summer is finally here, so get out, get active and enjoy all that Newham has to offer.
