Training and Employment Fair

break

Don't make a meal out of your job search. Newham's Training and Employment Fair - taking place on 31 March at Stratford Town Hall - is designed with you in mind.

If you're looking for a job or a way back into work, you know it can be an uphill struggle on your own. What you might not know is how much help is out there. That's why we're running a fair focusing on employment opportunities - to make sure you can get all the help you need - in one place at one time.

Whatever your circumstances, make sure to call in between 10.00am and 2.00pm to get the full training and employment picture in Newham. There's a free crèche for under-fives and easy access for wheelchair users and parents with buggies.

Looking for work?

For those of you with experience and / or qualifications, there will be live jobs displayed on the jobs board and at all the stands advertising jobs on the day. In some cases, there's also the opportunity to talk to employers and perhaps get on the waiting list for the job you want.

We have over 30 exhibitors - from careers advisers and colleges to employers and job brokers, including:
. . . and many more

Plus a series of 30-minute workshop and surgery sessions including 'Putting together a winning CV', 'Volunteering as a route to employment', 'Tax credits advice' and 'Interview skills' will take place throughout the day. Due to the popularity of these sessions last year, visitors are advised to book on arrival at the information stand.

Not got work experience?
If you are unsure what might suit you, you can talk through your situation with employers, raining organisations and experienced advisers from support agencies. They all know the jobs market in Newham and the surrounding area. Who better to advise and support you? It's a great chance waiting just round the corner from you.
