Introduction to
teenage pregnancy and sexual health commissioning
Teenage pregnancy and sexual
health commissioning is part of the wider Children and Young
People's Services Commissioning team.
We work closely with our strategic partner, NHS Newham,
and a wide range of other local stakeholders, providers and third
sector organisations to commission local sexual health
services.
Our four key objectives are:
- Reducing health inequalities in sexual health (this includes
teengage pregnancy, reducing STIs and HIV)
- Developing services that are responsive to local need
- Prevent sexual ill-health and promote sexual health
improvement
- To improve the local evidence and knowledge base to target
resources more effectively
On these pages we aim to provide an overview of our area of
work.
