Intervention Team
The Criminal Justice Intervention
Team (CJIT) can help break the cycle of drug use and
offending.
It does by providing a comprehensive, holistic service
to substance-misusing clients who are involved with the Criminal
Justice System.
Clients are offered a full assessment and care plan and referred
into treatment. CJIT can arrange access to the following services
and will support clients whilst in treatment:
- Physical and sexual health clinics
- A structured day programme
- Residential rehabilitation units
- Relapse prevention and support groups
- Women-specific services
- Counselling
- Mental health services
- Housing advice and assistance
- Employment skills programme
- Complementary therapies
Who is eligible
- Newham residents aged 18 years and over
- Problem drug users within the Criminal Justice System
- Individuals with Criminal Justice involvement
