Who cannot register
for housing?
- If you are subject to immigration control and your status
specifically excludes you from public housing assistance, or you
are not habitually resident in the UK, you will not be able to
register for a home from the Council.
- You can be excluded from joining the Housing Register if, in
the past, your behaviour as a tenant, or the behaviour of a member
of your household, has not been acceptable (for example, if you
were evicted from accommodation in the past because of serious
anti-social behaviour).
