Renting from private landlords and
hostels are usually the best options available to the majority of
single people and childless couples.
If you are working and earning a reasonable wage, you may
decide to buy in the long term, but most people have to rent
privately. Even if you are waiting for Council housing and on the
housing register, renting privately is an option whilst you
wait.
