single people, where the eldest member is at least 60 years of age
who wish to move out of London to selected coastal or country
areas.

Introduction
If you want to move to selected coastal or country areas we may be
able to help.
Housingmoves.org have one and two bedroom flats
and bungalows in seaside and countryside areas specifically for
tenants of councils and housing associations in
London.
Under the scheme, applicants can:-
• choose the area you want to live from those listed (please ask
for an information booklet before making your choice)
• choose a flat or bungalow
• choose a two bedroom property
Priority on the scheme is given to tenants who are moving from
homes with two or more bedrooms.

Can I get any help with
removals?
If you are council tenant currently living in a property with two
or more bedrooms and you are registered for a transfer you may be
entitled to help with your removals and a lump sum for
giving up your property.

Is there anything
that can stop me applying?
You must be capable of independent living.
If you owe any debt to the council or have a history of anti-social
behaviour, you will not be considered for this scheme.
The scheme is only open to council and housing association
tenants. If you are a housing association tenant you should ask
your housing association to refer you.
