Housing
The team offers information and
support to freeholders, tenants and landords with regard to
improving their homes, maintaining housing standards and securing
and maintaining tenancies.
The team will focus on single families households and aims
to improve health and housing conditions through:-

Responding to complaints about housing disrepair delivering
advice and enforcement action where required.

Delivering an inspection programme to improve standards in
properties used for temporary accommodation.

Facilitating improvements in landlord management
practice

Preventing ill-health caused by poor housing through the use of
the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)

Delivering advice and taking action to prevent homelessness and
to tackle illegal eviction action
