Support for Social
Enterprises
The Newham Social Enterprise is an
initiative aimed at encouraging the awareness, growth and
development of social enterprises within the borough.
Funded by the government's Neighbourhood Renewal
Fund and developed in consultation with the social enterprise
sector, this project seeks to provide borough level cohesion,
clarity and support.
The project involves action on several levels, including:
replicating successful social enterprises; capacity building within
the banking and professional services; awareness raising throughout
the commercial and residential community, and the orchestration of
a cohesive set of resources, delivery tools and support
agencies.
