Opportunities Day for residents on Rathbone Market
regeneration
John Sisk & Son, main
contractor on the first phase of the Rathbone Market scheme, is
hosting an Employment Opportunities Open Day on Saturday 15 October
to encourage recruitment from the Newham area.
As part of the contract, the company is committed to
employing at least 25% of its entire workforce from Newham and is
working in conjunction with Newham Council and Workplace, a local
recruitment centre, as well as colleges, universities and
apprenticeship schemes to ensure that local people are able to
benefit and contribute to the regeneration of the area.
John Sisk & Son will be joined by representatives from its
subcontractors at the event, who will be available to talk about
current and future employment opportunities. The project is
entering the next phase, following the completion of the structure
of the building, with opportunities from carpentry, plumbing and
plastering to construction and project management.
The Employment Opportunities Open Day will take place on Saturday
15 October 2011, 9am-1pm at the Rathbone Market Site Office,
Barking Road, Canning Town.
