If you are interested in becoming
a school teacher, why not apply for one of our taster courses and
get a real flavour of what it is like to teach in an East London

Who can apply?
The course is open specifically to graduates.
Applications must be submitted by date specified. Dates and venues
of the course will be supplied to successful candidates (for more
on how to apply, see the recommended websites).
Applicants who reflect the diversity of our schools are
particularly welcome.
What will I learn on the course?
If you are unsure whether teaching is for you or if you just do not
know where to start, the course is a great way to help you make a
decision about your future.
Past attendees have told us the course was a real benefit: it
helped to motivate them and reinforced their desire to teach.
It covers a range of subjects, including:
- National curriculum
- Behaviour management
- The different routes into teaching
- Training
There will also be the opportunity to spend the day in a school
and observe a lesson in progress.
