As an applicant for jobs within Newham please be re-assured that your personal information is held securely and only used for the purposes of your application. Your information on the application will only be shared with officers directly involved in your recruitment.

At no stage of the application and interview stages of the recruitment process will it be necessary for you to provide any bank details or any other form of personal data other than certificates of qualification.

If you are successful and have been issued with a conditional offer of employment, you will then be asked to submit personal information to assist with pre-employment checks such as medical and meeting asylum and immigration regulations.

Only when you have been issued with a full contract of employment will it be necessary of us to have access to your personal bank details and this will be to enable us to pay your monthly salary.

There is no other reason why we would need your bank details. If you are claiming interview expenses and have not been successful we will pay your expenses via cheque.
