New job opportunities
in the Major Sites Division
The Major Sites team is charged
with managing the unprecedented transformation of Newham which will
occur before, during and after the 2012 Games. We are therefore
looking for individuals who have the skills and drive to play a
part in Europe's biggest regeneration project and London's number
one regeneration priority for the next 25 years.
Part of the Regeneration, Planning & Property Directorate, the
team regulates new land uses and built development in the borough,
whilst thinking proactively about how to improve the environment
and the situation of its residents and businesses.
Together with our Property and Strategy Divisions we will ensure
that the opportunities created by this transformation can be seized
for the benefit of local people. The Major Sites team will help
support a dynamic local economy to which national and international
business is attracted, but where existing local businesses can also
prosper.
We will ensure that the maximum benefit is secured for the local
community from the 2012 Games, their legacy and the raft of major
developments in the borough over the coming years.
