Newham Dockside, our new headquarters, is a modern air-conditioned office at the heart of the Royal Docks area of Newham.

All of Newham's back office services are to move from their widespread locations throughout the borough to these new headquarters at the Royal Docks. For many years our staff have worked in deteriorating offices and we are delighted that we can finally give staff the quality office space that they truly deserve.

Locating staff together in modern, flexible office accommodation will enhance integration across services, as well as generating efficiencies from the disposal of ageing, expensive to maintain and dispersed buildings. We will break down the barriers that have prevented us from offering the standard of service that our residents are entitled to.

But this is not just about where we work; it is also about how we work.

To improve the services we offer we also need to explore the way we work. If we can accept that there are better ways of delivering our services through new ways of working then we can begin to move forward with Delivering Excellence.
