Meet the Mayor

break

I want to know about the things that are important to you. That's why I spend a lot of time out in the community talking to residents, business people and community groups. Here are some of the ways you can meet me to ask a question, raise a concern or just to have a chat.

Here to help sessions

Here to help surgeries are an opportunity to talk to me privately on an individual basis. This is where you can raise any concerns about personal matters such as noisy neighbours or housing benefit or more general issues such as local education.

I hold four sessions a month where you can meet me in person and two telephone sessions where you can phone in and speak directly to me. Check for details of dates, times and venues.

Question Times

Question Time is your chance to grill me about my views in front of an audience. At these events you can ask me about any of the things that affect this borough, from access to jobs to street cleaning. I hold at least four of these borough-wide sessions a year, so please check here to find out the latest dates and venues.

Community Visits

I make sure I put several days aside each month to visit all parts of this borough, from schools to community groups, youth centres to warm centres. Maybe I am holding a coffee morning in your area where we can talk about the local issues that affect you, or I might be joining in the fun at one of the community activity days.

Invite Me

Apart from these; I also accept as many invitations to visit local organisations, community groups, festivals, openings and fun days etc. as I can. If you would like to invite me to an event please fill in the invitation e-form and send it in.
