This November, get involved in talking about the
council's Disability Equality Scheme and how it can make things
better over the next three years, and not discriminate against
disabled people.
Action and Rights of Disabled People in Newham is helping Newham
Council to find out what disabled people in the borough want.
The law says the council must work in partnership with disabled
people who use their services. If you are a disabled person, or a
deaf person and you live or work in Newham, that means you!
We are holding six discussion meetings for disabled people all
over the borough, so disabled people can tell us what they think
the council should do, and to tell us how they want to be involved.
Each meeting will talk about a different issue and there is also a
session for young disabled people:

All meetings are accessible. There will be sign language
interpreters and an induction loop. Lunch will also be provided.
All disabled people who take part will be paid expenses. We will
pay transport and personal assistance costs. To book door-to-door
