Motor Show Music Festival offer for Newham residents

Mayor of Newham, Sir Robin Wales, has secured a 50 per cent discount on tickets to the Motor Show Music Festival concerts for Newham residents.

The open-air waterfront arena at ExCeL, Canning Town, will host performances from Wednesday, July 23 to Saturday, August 2 by UB40, Alice Cooper, Status Quo, Squeeze, Blondie, Deep Purple, Chicago, Jules Holland, Meatloaf and the Here & Now Tour featuring Bananarama, Belinda Carlisle, Paul Young, Toyah, Kid Creole, Midge Ure and Altered Images.

Concert goers will also be granted free access to the British International Motor Show on the day of the concert.

Mayor Sir Robin said: "I'm thrilled to be able to offer Newham residents discounted rates on a feast of musical entertainment on their doorstep.

"The Motor Show is a tremendously popular event that brings thousands of visitors to the borough and is a fantastic opportunity for residents and businesses to get in practice for the anticipated 1.2 million visitors expected during the Olympic and Paralympic Games."

The offer is valid on advance purchased standing tickets only. Booking fees apply and tickets are subject to availability on a first come first served basis.
