Mayor hails top A
level results
The Mayor Sir Robin Wales said:
"It's wonderful to share in the excitement of such an important day
in these young people's lives. We are working with all schools to
ensure pupils can achieve their best and today's results show that
the hard work is paying off.
"We are so proud of the dedication that has been shown
and I congratulate all pupils on wonderful results. Our young
people are continuing to achieve better results than students in
far more privileged and wealthy areas.
"These results reflect our investment in education. We will aim to
build on this by working with schools in the coming academic year
so we can continue to improve."
