Newham’s Children’s Centres offer a range of services to help all children in Newham get the best start in life.

Children’s centres provide support to parents during pregnancy and the first years of a child’s life through to when he or she starts school.

What we offer


Information, advice and help in finding childcare including free childcare for eligible two, three and four year olds.


Stay and play sessions are a place where children learn and develop important skills through play, and where you can meet other parents and carers and their children.


Programmes, workshops and sessions in each neighbourhood offering advice and guidance. Designed to help parents and carers meet the needs of their children to give them the best start in life.


Regular employment advice sessions and help into employment, training or volunteering opportunities will be available in each neighbourhood.


In each neighbourhood there is a range of midwifery services, family health and development activities. You can get advice and support on breastfeeding, weaning, healthy eating, sleep routines and a whole range of other health issues through pregnancy into the first years of your child's life.
