Parking
problems
Here you can find more information
about parking for Blue Badge holders and how to report vehicles
that are blocking disabled bays.
We take disabled bay blocking
seriously. If you see someone you believe should not be
parked in a disabled bay, please call 020 8430 6730 Monday to
Friday between 8am and 5pm. Outside of these hours call 020 8475
0213 and your enquiry will be answered as soon as possible.
Do not ignore parking tickets. You may have to
pay more if you do not either pay or contest the ticket promptly.
Find out more on our
Penalty Charge Notices page.
Vehicle removals and Clamping. If you display
your blue badge you should not be towed away even if you do park
illegally. If your vehicle is causing an obstruction it may be
removed, but usually only to a nearby street and not to the car
pound.
Please note that Newham Council does not clamp vehicles.
If your vehicle is missing when you return to it call the
TRACE service - 08452 068602 (24 hours) - who will tell you if it
has been towed and if so, where it is.
And remember:
- Never stop your vehicle where it will obstruct traffic or
pedestrians
- Never stop on white 'zig-zag' markings
- Never park on the pavement (except in areas where signs
indicate it is legal)
- Always observe the special parking rules in force in Central
London or at Gatwick and Heathrow airports
