Resident Parking Permits

break

Residents of a Resident Parking Zone can buy Resident Parking Permits.

On Monday 4 February 2013 a second Resident Parking Permit increased from £50 to £70, additional permits increased from £100 to £150. Find out more about the price increase.

The permit allows the holder to park their vehicle within a permit holders only bay (image) within the Resident Parking Zone stated on the permit. They can also park within a 'shared use' bay (image) - that is, a bay where permit holders and motorists displaying a valid pay and display ticket, can park.

Residents can only apply for a permit to park in the zone that they live in. Find out more information about Newham's Resident Parking Zones.

Resident parking permits are issued for one year and the charges are:

  • 1st resident permit in household - Free
  • 2nd resident permit in household - £70
  • Additional resident permits - £150
  • Replacement permits - £5
