Educating the public on the dangers of road use is one key way we can help to keep Newham's roads safe.

At the Traffic Management & Road Safety Unit we also:

Educate the public on how to travel safely, whether driving, walking or riding a bike
Assess crashes to find out what common factors could have caused them
Use crash evidence to implement measures to reduce the number of crashes in future
Alter the layout of roads to increase safety
Manage school crossing patrols ie Lollipop ladies and men
Advise children and parents on safer routes to school
