Partnership
The vision of Newham Partnership
is to make Newham a place where people choose to live, work and
stay.
Newham Partnership is the name of the
Local Strategic Partnership for Newham. It
brings together different parts of the public sector as well as
the private, business, community and voluntary sectors so that
different initiatives and services support each other to work
together.
In other words different sectors, such as the Primary Care Trust
and the Police Service all come together to tackle local issues in
a manner that is beneficial and effective for every aspect of the
borough.
The strategic decision making body of Newham Partnership is
Newham
Partnership Board (NPB). The Board oversees the various other
LSP bodies including the
Public Service
Board and the Partnership Action Boards, consisting of:
Newham Partnership Board is chaired by the directly elected Mayor
of Newham Sir Robin Wales.
Newham Partnership is a non-statutory body responsible for
developing and driving the implementation of the
Local Area Agreement (LAA) and the key strategic document
Newham's Sustainable Community Strategy, which sets out
Newham's vision over the next twenty years.
