The Building Surveyors Team within
Design Services provides services covering a wide range of
constructional works for the council and our partner
clients.

The team has the ability to undertake all types of construction
projects together with the diagnosis of building related problems.
The construction schemes undertaken range from minor repairs to
complete new buildings. The group is equipped with the latest
technology for site and office use i.e. AutoCad 2000, used to
provide design services and presentations. Apart from direct
involvement in construction related schemes we maintain and
administer the building element of the Asset Management Plan for
both the corporate stock and education buildings.

If your type of scheme is not listed please contact us we will
probably still be able to help. Our advice is independent objective
advice, free of commercial bias and designed to provide best value
to our clients.
We also undertake specialist construction work on listed
buildings and other more unusual commissions which have to-date
included a barge conversion into a floating outward bounds
accommodation facility, caving experience structure, an external
climbing wall, and conversion of a Route Master bus.
