Newham Sixth Form College (NewVic
College) is a purpose-built college with the latest in
state-of-the-art equipment and resources.
General teaching classrooms, throughout the college are
equipped and furnished to a very high standard. Students now have
access to over 700 fully networked computers in the college
offering a range of industry standard software. In particular,
business and information technology students have access to around
126 computers in the IT suite.
Other facilities include:
- The college has its own intranet and is connected to the
Internet.
- The science and engineering students benefit from labs
and workshops that have been equipped to industry
standard.
- Media and design students have access to a professionally
resourced multi-media suite equipped with the latest digital
technology and editing facilities, including an Apple Mac desktop
publishing suite. They also have access to a modern TV studio,
photographic darkrooms, 3D and print workshop.
- For students studying performing arts, there is a theatre
equipped with professional lighting rigs, a purpose-built dance
studio and the latest in electronic facilities.
- Leisure and tourism students benefit from access to the
college's extensive business and IT facilities as well as our
sports hall.
- Facilities available to our modern languages students
include an audio-visual language laboratory, satellite television
and the latest language learning software to help them develop and
practice language skills.
