The Joint Waste DPD for East
London sets out a planning strategy for sustainable waste
management for four east London boroughs.
The East
London Waste Authority boroughs of Newham,
Barking
and Dagenham, Havering and
Redbridge
have prepared the Joint Waste DPD for East London. It was submitted
to Government on 30 November 2010 and has been examined by an
indepentant Inspector.
Inspector's report received - Joint Waste DPD found
'sound'
The Joint Waste DPD for East London has been examined and the
conclusion of the Inspector's binding report is that the Joint
Waste DPD is sound, subject to minor changes. The four East London
Waste Authority boroughs recieved notification of the Inspector's
decision on 14 November 2011.

What happens next?
The final Joint Waste DPD for East London will be taken forward to
the Cabinet and Council of each borough for adoption in early 2012,
and following this, the Joint Waste DPD will be published. Further
details on adoption procedures made available in due course.
