We will regularly be producing news on the Local Development Framework that will provide the latest news on the LDF and planning policy. This will also detail any upcoming consultations and provide information on how you can get involved in developing the LDF.

Core Strategy adopted

Council adopted the Core Strategy on 26 January 2012 after it was examined by an independent Inspector who found the document to be 'sound', subject to minor changes. Further information is available on the Core Strategy page.

Joint Waste DPD Inspector's report received

The Joint Waste DPD for East London has been examined by an independant inspector and the conclusion of the Inspector's binding report is that the Joint Waste DPD is sound, subject to minor changes. Further information is available on the Joint Waste DPD page.

Draft National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)

The Government consultated on a draft National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) until 17 October 2011. The draft NPPF can be viewed on the the Department of Communities and Local Government's NPPF consultation website.

Publication of London Plan

The Mayor of London has published the replacement London Plan following its examination and adoption.

Ministerial Statement on Planning for Growth (March 2011)

The Government has issued a Ministerial Statement regarding planning. It sets out the Government's agenda for planning reform and economic growth. The Ministerial Statement on Planning for Growth can be viewed on the Department of Communities and Local Government's Planning for Growth page.
