Personal Searches

A Personal Search is a search of the Local Land Charges Register, Public Registers and Data Records held by the Council.

Any person may make a personal search of the Local Land Charges Register without charge. A personal searcher or member of the public is also entitled to inspect certain other public registers free of charge.

If you require a personal search of the Local Land Charges Register, please email Land Charges with details of the property or land to be searched against. However, the Land Charges department requires at least 24 hour notice for Local Land Charges Register.

The onus will be on the Personal Search agent/company to interpret the information obtained. Land Charges will not validate any information obtained from Personal Searchers and will not enter into any dialogue or correspondence resulting from the data collected from a Personal Search.
