Unitary Development
Plan
The Unitary Development Plan (UDP)
is Newham's statutory development plan. Its policies guide physical
change in the Borough and provides guidance on a wide range of
planning issues.
The UDP was adopted in June 2001 and will eventually be
replaced by the emerging
Local
Development Framework (LDF). In addition, further guidance to
the policies contained within the UDP is provided in a series of
Supplementary Planning Guidance.
Saved UDP policies
In September 2007 some policies and proposals were deleted and
these no longer form part of the UDP. However most policies were
'saved' and will remain until adopted policies in Development Plan
Documents (DPDs) and Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) within
the LDF replace them.
