Development Strategy
Newham is set to become the heart
of a new London with a scale of regeneration and growth that can be
found nowhere is London, or across Europe.
The Economic Development Strategy sets out Newham
Council's vision for the economic prosperity of the borough and
provides a framework for the Council, in collaboration with
partners, to deliver a range of economic development and
regeneration initiatives to achieve this vision.
The strategy focuses on three main aims:
- creating the conditions to attract investment
- ensuring local businesses can expand
- providing residents with the skills, training and opportunities
to gain jobs in Newham and elsewhere in London.
