• Licensing Act 2003 - Licensing Laws

  The London Borough of Newham is responsible for the licensing of regulated activities under the Licensing Act 2003.

• Premises Licence (Licensing Act 2003)

  For premises that provide alcohol, regulated entertainment or hot food and/or drink sold between 11pm and 5am.

• Personal Licence (Licensing Act 2003)

  For people who sell or provide alcohol at licensed premises.

• Temporary Event Notice (Licensing Act 2003)

  For occasional small events (no more that 499 people) to licence any regulated activity. A minimum of 10 working days notice is required (this excludes the day of receipt and day of event).

• Review of a Premises Licence or Club Premises Certificate (Licensing Act 2003)

  For interested parties experiencing problems with licensed premises in relation to the four licensing objectives.

  For those premises being built or carrying out major alterations who intend to provide alcohol or any regulated activity (or hot food and/or drink sold between 11pm - 5am).

  For interested parties who would like to receive information regarding a specific premises.

• Interim Authority Notice (Licensing Act 2003)

  For those licensed premises during a transition period i.e. such as sale of premises.
