Do you qualify?
You may qualify if you:

Are receiving the higher rate of the Mobility
Component of the Disability Living Allowance

Are receiving a War Pensioner's Mobility
Supplement
-
Use a motor vehicle supplied by a government health
department
-
Are a registered blind person
-
Have severe disability in both upper limbs, drive a
motor vehicle Regularly but cannot turn the steering wheel by hand
even if that wheel is fitted with a turning knob
-
Have a permanent and substantial disability which
causes inability to walk or very considerable difficulty in
walking

nearest Local Service Centre.
How to apply for a Blue Badge
You will need to fill out a Blue Badge application
form and take it in to your
Local Service centre.
To get an application form you can:
- Ring 020 8430 2000 and we can send one out to
you
- Pick one up from your Local Service Centre
- Download the form
here
Once you have filled in the form please bring it in to your
Local Service Centre. Please bring the following with you:
- An original and up to date copy of your Disability living
Allowance entitlement letter. If you need an up to date copy of
this letter, telephone 08457 123 456.
- Two passport size photographs
- An administrative fee of £2.00 will charged for the issue of a
Blue Badge
- Car details , make, model, colour, registration number and name
and address of driver
- Proof of address and proof of identification
Where the scheme applies
The badges - sometimes known as disabled parking
permits - can be used throughout the UK and while travelling abroad
within the European Union (EU) and in some other European
countries.

The Blue Badge scheme does not apply to off-street car parks,
private roads or at most airports. Find out more on the

Appealing or making a complaint about a blue badge
decision
If you would like to appeal or make a complaint about a decision
on whether you can receive a blue badge, please do so at the local
service centre where you made your application. They will process
and investigate your appeal or complaint.
If you are not happy with the outcome of the appeal, you can ask
for your complaint or appeal to be taken to further, in which case
it will be forwarded in writing to the Transport and Concessionary
Travel Commissioning Manager who will investigate your case
further. |
