Inward Investment and Business Retention

We support existing businesses by offering free and confidential support. We also offer an up-to-date database of available sites and commercial premises, including startup accommodation within the borough.

We assist businesses with finding new premises using comprehensive site and property databases gathered through close liaison with active agents (see property enquiries).

Site visits are also arranged and the sub regional agencies work with other public sector and private agencies to "package" support to businesses which need to move. This typically includes full information on individual sites and all the relevant business support, labour, skills and grants information.

We can also assist with information on finance and business support, working closely with Business Link for London, East London Small Business Centre and other local partnership organisations.

Information regarding local skills and training is available through Newham's Access to Jobs Partnership.

We also work to provide an aftercare service in conjunction with Gateway to London, giving businesses access to the Docklands and East London business networks, and introductions to both new and established companies in the area.
