The Energy Saving Trust

The Energy Saving Trust
The Energy Saving Trust is an independant organisation set up to help ordinary members of the public become energy efficient. They do this in a number of ways:

1. They independently test appliances to give them a rating showing how energy effiicient they are. These ratings have now been adopted across the European Union and range from A (good) to G (bad). Buying a more efficient appliance will save money and energy. The Energy Saving Trust also allow their logo to be used on the best appliances , so consumers should always look out for this.

2. They run a website offering help and advice on energy efficiency and renewable energy generation.

3. They run Energy Saving Trust Advice Centres. These are centres that can be phoned or visited in person for individual energy advice. The London Energy Saving Trust Advice Centre is based in Islington and anybody interested should phone 0800 512 012.
