Education Welfare Service

The Education Welfare Service (EWS) in Newham is here to help children and young people benefit from the education on offer to them. We want all children in Newham to have the best chances in life irrespective of their race, culture, gender, age or disability. All schools have an Education Welfare Officer (EWO) allocated to them. Among their tasks is to monitor attendance and punctuality of all children registered at the school.
