Questions.
- What are External Funds?
- Money made available from Central, Regional and Local
Government, European Commission, National Lottery distributors and
various trusts and foundations providing funds for projects that
seek to further specific aims. For example: a luncheon club that
wants to set up activities for older people on a Tuesday afternoon
may apply to Awards for All (amongst others).
- Who can apply for funds?
- For a group to consider applying for funds you will need to be,
at the very least, a 'recognised' organisation or group. Find out

- How do I find out about current funding
opportunities?
- Try using the following websites: Grantnet, Government Funding,
Access Funds, Or have a look at the latest edition of the Funding
Bulletin (ask to be put on the circulation list for future
instalments).
- Will the External Funding Team write my
application?
- The EFT will not write applications for other organisations.
However, we will provide support and guidance on completing
applications and a proof reading service.
- What support and guidance will you offer
me if I'm successful in securing funds?
- The EFT can support the setting up of monitoring and financial
systems and Management Committee development.
