Getting Married

Foreign Nationals

Our advice...
If either or both of the couple are not passport holders of a European Union Country then they will require extra documents.

Nationals of countries outside the European Union must have: Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK or a visa to come to this country to get married (fiancé(e) visa) or a Certificate of Approval from the Home Office.

If you need to obtain this Certificate or have other enquiries about marrying a non-EU national please telephone 0870 606 7766.
