Jaimin Patel
Language Shop Manager
Jaimin Patel has been the Manager of the Language Shop since 1996
and has played a pivotal role in ensuring that it is one of the
best language services in London. He has a wealth of experience and
is committed to ensuring that communities in East London have
access to high quality services that stem from a social inclusion
perspective.

Aprile Harman
Operations Manager
Aprile Harman is the Operations Manager of the Language Shop and
has been with the London Borough of Newham since 1990. She began as
the council's in-house Sign Language Interpreter and became the
Operations Manager in 2005. Her knowledge and experience within the
Deaf community and as a Sign Language Interpreter is a valuable
asset to the Language Shop: this has contributed towards the
increase in demand of this service, making it the second most
requested language in 2007/2008. (Bengali being the first).
